Studio 4&7 specialises in the design and execution of bespoke children's play spaces — combining developmental science, spatial psychology, art and material craft.
Every project begins from zero — shaped around the specific character of the site, the audience, and the client's goals. Not from off-the-shelf catalogues or repeated templates.
We believe the quality of a play space is not determined by the number of its elements, but by the experience it creates for the child. Movement, discovery paths, spatial variety, social interaction, colour, light, scale and spatial legibility are treated as primary architectural elements.
Our services span concept design, design development, construction drawings, bespoke equipment design, and execution consultancy. Our goal is to create spaces that are not only visually compelling, but durable, functional and genuinely suited to the real needs of those who use them.
